THE AMPTHILL CENTRE
FOR COUNSELLING AND PSYCHOTHERAPY

Welcome to the Ampthill Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy

We are a private practice located in the town of Ampthill, Bedfordshire offering both Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Humanistic Counselling, and within easy reach of Bedford, Luton and Milton Keynes.

We are an established centre for Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, and our therapist is a fully qualified CBT practitioner accredited by the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP).  Our resident Humanistic counsellor is a member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists.

We are also able to offer a limited low-cost counselling service (where appropriate) via counsellors working towards BACP Accreditation.  Please contact us for availability of our low-cost service.  All counsellors are members of the BACP and adhere to their Code of Ethics.

We accept private clients, NHS referrals and clients via Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP).

The demand for CBT has led to a growth in under-trained and un-qualified practitioners advertising Cognitive Behaviour Therapy.  Always ensure that you ask to see a recognised CBT qualification.

Please Note: Our CBT service is now available in Stony Stratford (Milton Keynes) and The Dunton Centre (near Biggleswade)

We also run training courses.  Please see our training page for details.

We are committed to the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

All counsellors and therapists receive regular clinical supervision in line with BACP guidelines.
